ERW Line Pipe

ERW line pipe is a hot-rolled steel coil formed by a forming machine, using the skin effect and proximity effect of high-frequency current to heat and melt the edge of the tube blank and perform pressure welding under the action of the extrusion roller to achieve production. Therefore, it is also called high-frequency electric resistance welded tube.

The high-frequency electric resistance welded tube is different from the ordinary welded pipe welding process. The welding seam is formed by melting the base material of the steel strip body, and the mechanical strength is better than that of the ordinary welded pipe. The appearance is smooth, the precision is high, the cost is low, and the weld bead height (reinforcement) is small, which is beneficial to the coating of the 3PE anti-corrosion coating. The welding methods of high-frequency ERW steel line pipe and submerged arc welded pipes are significantly different. Since the welding is completed instantaneously at high speed, it is much more difficult to ensure the welding quality than submerged arc welding.
