1. Why do old windows even need to be replaced?
Energy Loss: About 25% of your energy bill is lost through windows. A 3'X5' window with a 1/16" gap around the sash is like having a hole the size of a brick
Condensation: Energy-efficient windows have a warmer interior surface, so they can increase humidity without getting damp on the windows that could eventually damage the walls. Reducing condensation also helps reduce mold growth.

2. Condensation was a nuisance on my old windows, but I've heard it can cause damage too. really?
Condensation can be a serious problem. Moisture from everyday activities like cooking and showering shows up first on cool, dense surfaces like windows. In the long run, this drip can damage windows and nearby surfaces, such as drywall, and promote the growth of mold, a potential health hazard. 3. Which industry standards does YY's windows meet?
The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) created the CSA-A440 standard as a sort of final exam—it doesn't matter how good you say your windows are, because the evidence is now there. The CSA-A440 standard measures and evaluates the airtightness, watertightness and wind resistance of windows, and even evaluates the susceptibility of windows to forced entry. All North Star windows are tested - the excellent results speak for themselves. Be wary of windows that have not been tested to CSA-A440 standards. Our windows are also CSA certified, which means they are not only tested against standards, but also CSA certified.
